The First Friday Network was established in September 1984. Two far-sighted individuals decided that business professionals who perform services predominately for senior citizens had much in common in serving our community. Molly Fleming, who then worked at Morningside Ministries, served as the first Director of the organization. Hannah Margolis at the Jewish Community Center joined Molly and other professionals who had a vision to strengthen and support individuals working with the elderly. In the early 90’s Peggy Peterson, founder and former owner of Medi-Pay Inc., and Margaret Zimmerman continued the efforts begun by Molly and Hannah. Through the dedication of those individuals, First Friday Network has continued to flourish.
A board of officers is elected every year by the general membership. In addition, former officers may serve as advisors to current officers, all of whom work under the structure of by-laws. First Friday Network welcomes volunteers to assist in the board’s efforts to continually improve our service to our members and community.
